The Future of the American Right is Deeply Stupid.

I saw a brief story the other day that a young woman walking home alone in Portland, Oregon, was maced by a group of Proud Boys who had been out... Well, doing whatever brownshirt dickheads get up to of an evening. Watching Tucker Carlson or, if names are anything to go by, being proud of their youth and penises.

Either way, spraying an unarmed woman with mace wasn't exactly living up to their chivalrous ideals - the Proud Boys are Nice Guys, after all, albeit in the worst sense of the term. Fortunately, the gulf between their stated ethics and their actions was swiftly closed when it was explained that these were, in fact, the actions of Antifa spies who had dressed up as Proud Boys and committed crimes in order to sully the good name of an innocent fascist militia.

I'm a card carrying member of Antifa myself - I signed up for the free abortions and found myself sucked in, to the point that I'm now reporting directly to Lucifer himself and his section chief, Susan Sarandon - but even I'm surprised at how much we're meant to get around. Seems like every time the right commit offences, it's actually Antifa double agents who have somehow infiltrated the ranks of the righteous that are responsible.

Consider the Capitol Riot of January sixth. Whilst a number of the insurrectionists (or "murderers" if you insist on the correct noun for a group of people who were responsible for kicking someone to death) were noted for their long history of Qanon posts and support of far right causes, this is in fact just…
